Terms & Conditions

Please review our standard terms of service regarding laundry collection, care, and customer commitments.

Last Updated: January 2026

ScanMyLaundry App (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting and respecting the privacy and fair rights of its customers and contacts. This policy sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us when you visit scanmylaundry.com (“Site”) or use the ScanMyLaundry App (“App”) or when you use any ScanMyLaundry service (“Service”).

Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it. For the purposes of the applicable Data Protection legislation in England, we are the “data controller” in respect of any personal data that we collect from or hold about you.

1. Booking & Services

By booking a collection via our website, scanning your QR laundry bag, or placing an order through our mobile application, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. All service requests are subject to driver availability and route coverage across Southend-on-Sea, Leigh-on-Sea, Rayleigh, and neighboring regions.

QR laundry bags are dedicated exclusively to everyday laundry (wash, tumble dry, and fold). Items requiring dry cleaning, suit pressing, leather treatment, or alterations must be booked separately via our mobile app to ensure individual item tracking.

2. Garment Care & Inspection

We take the highest commercial care when processing all laundry. Please ensure all pockets are emptied of coins, pens, keys, tissues, and sharp objects prior to bag handover. We cannot be held liable for damage caused by items left in customer pockets.

All garments are washed, dried, and folded according to general care practices. If an item requires specific handling or low-temperature drying, please notify our team via notes or book via our mobile app.

3. Your Legal Rights

As a customer and data subject, you have certain legal rights subject to certain exceptions under the applicable Data Protection legislation including:

  • The right to access the personal data held about you;
  • The right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes;
  • The right to withdraw at any time any consent you have given to receive marketing material from us;
  • The right to ask us to rectify inaccurate personal data about you;
  • The right to ask for the restriction of personal data concerning yourself that is inaccurate, unlawfully processed or no longer required;
  • The right to ask for the transfer of your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format;
  • The right to ask for the erasure of personal data concerning yourself where processing is no longer necessary.

You can exercise any of your rights at any time by contacting us at info@scanmylaundry.com. You also have the right to make a complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

4. Links to Other Websites

The Site or the App may, from time to time, contain links to and from the websites of our partner networks, advertisers, and affiliates. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies.
